Engineer Brian Waterborne presented the abbreviated notice of resource area delineation (ANRAD) for properties including 1 Mentzer Avenue and 99/103 Green Street, describing extensive field flagging along Howard Brook and bordering vegetated wetlands across approximately 16 acres.
"We did adjust one flag," Waterborne said, summarizing field work and noting that soil testing and wetland delineation were completed and that the brook is flowing on this site visit despite regional drought conditions. He reported that the project received a DEP file number (247-1282) and that DEP had no comments.
Commission staff (Glenda Williamson) said she was pleased with the flagging and protocol used in the field. After confirming there were no public commenters, the commission moved and approved the ANRAD confirming the wetland and riverfront resource area boundaries for the Howard Brook corridor on the subject properties.
Next steps: the approved ANRAD will inform future permitting or subdivision decisions and be available in the project file.
