Platte County Commission approves ARPA change orders for building windows, doors and security upgrades

County administrator Wes Mender told commissioners that commission order 2025-RES-022 ARPA corrects a scrivener’s error in the original ordinance and authorizes change order No. 2 to add door replacements to an earlier window-replacement project. “It does one thing,” Mender said, “it corrects the scrivener’s error … and also increases the work scope of the project by approximately $27,000 to replace doors.” Mender said the total contract amount after the change will be $426,815.
Mender also presented commission order 2025-RES-023 ARPA to approve several change orders with CML Security for electronic and security upgrades across the administration building and courthouse. Those additions include reworking panic-button wiring and adding secured doors; Mender said the extra work increases the contract by $67,879.
Both motions were moved and seconded and carried on roll-call votes recorded as 3-0.
