Assumption Parish awards $396,000 contract for Shell Beach Boat Launch repairs and reallocates funds

Committee member Myron Matherne reported a $55,000 shortfall for the project; the jury approved moving $30,000 from the Labadieville Drainage GOMESA Project and reallocating $20,000 from Ward 9 recreation funds and $5,000 from Ward 7 recreation funds to help close the gap. The jury also authorized awarding the contract subject to state concurrence and funding availability.
The motions to reallocate funds and to accept the low bidder were unanimously adopted.
