The Seymour City Council on Aug. 11 approved a city administrator employment agreement after a closed-session review and also approved payment of the city’s bills.
Alderperson Tetzlaff moved to approve Resolution NO RE 2025-165, “City Administrator Employment Agreement,” and Alderperson Hurkman seconded; the minutes record that the motion carried. The item followed a closed-session review the council held under Wis. Stat. § 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment and performance data for a public employee.
Earlier in the meeting, Alderperson Tetzlaff moved, and Alderperson VanderHeiden seconded, approval of the meeting agenda; that motion carried. Alderperson Krull moved to approve the July 28, 2025 council minutes, seconded by Alderperson VanderHeiden; that motion also carried.
The council approved Resolution NO RE 2025-176, authorizing payment of bills, on a motion by Alderperson Tetzlaff with a second from Alderperson Hurkman. The minutes record “Motion carried” for each formal action; the record does not include roll-call vote tallies or individual yes/no votes.
During guest participation, Alderperson Greg Gerbers offered public thanks to Seymour Rescue and the Seymour Police Department for their service during a recent emergency response.
