Committee recommends payment of bills, approves capital-budget change to replace Fire and Rescue carpet

At its Sept. 8 meeting the Joint Committee of the Whole reviewed the August finance reports and recommended that the full council approve payment of bills.
A motion by Alderperson Schaumberg to recommend payment of bills was seconded by Alderperson Gerbers and recorded as carried. Separately, after the City Administrator outlined the need to replace carpeting at the Fire Department building, Alderperson Hurkman moved that the committee recommend to council an amendment to the Fire and Rescue capital budgets to cover the replacement; Alderperson Krull seconded and the motion carried.
Minutes record the motions and that each was carried; roll-call vote tallies were not included in the meeting text. The committee’s recommendations will be forwarded to the full council for final action.
