River Ridge board hears lake maintenance update; compressor noise reduced but tone remains a concern

At the July 23 meeting, Premier Lakes representative Bill Kurth told the River Ridge Board that lakes, preserves and dry retention areas are generally in good shape though seasonal algae growth was noted. He said a cabinet installed around a compressor at Masters Lake reduced the measured sound level from 64 to 52 decibels.
Operations Manager Shane Willis said the remaining problem is the tone of the aerator rather than the decibel level, and the Board agreed staff should explore moving the compressor and report findings at the next meeting. Kurth also said a palm tree in the shoreline of Lake E7A was removed and that planting in Lake E4-A will be delayed until an agreement is reached with the Edgewater Condo Association; staff placed Lake E4-A plantings on hold and will resubmit the proposal.
