Committee authorizes right-of-entry with county for Ardmore greenway improvements

The Committee on Real Estate authorized the mayor to execute a right-of-entry agreement with the county and the commissioners of public works to allow county crews (through CWS) to access properties in the Ardmore area and make improvements connecting to the Greenway.
Miss Copeland presented the item and said the county is asking CWS for access to make connections onto the Greenway in Ardmore. She added the city plans to enter into a later amendment so CWS will take up maintenance of those improvements once completed. "The county is asking CWS for access to go and make some improvements in the Ardmore area, to create some connections onto the Greenway," Copeland said.
The committee recorded no questions and approved the right-of-entry authorization by voice vote. The authorization allows county crews to perform the work; the later agreement Copeland mentioned would formalize maintenance responsibilities.
Next steps: the mayor may execute the right-of-entry agreement and staff will pursue the subsequent amendment to the Greenway agreement to address maintenance responsibilities.
