The Charleston City Committee on Real Estate voted Monday to authorize an extension of the amended lease for Suite 2200 used by Gilliard Management (referred to in the meeting as "GMC") through Dec. 31, 2026.
Miss Dinwiddie, presenting the item, said the lease is straightforward and that staff requests the extension to carry the arrangement through the end of the year while parties consider a new agreement. "What we are requesting is that we extend that just through the end of the year, at which point a, new agreement can be negotiated if needed," Dinwiddie said.
Committee members had no questions on the item and the chair called the question. The committee approved the extension by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
The extension keeps the administrative office space in place through Dec. 31, 2026; staff indicated a new negotiation can follow if required.
