Kure Beach council hears Army Corps update as survey finds more sand needed; H Avenue receives extra fill

He said a small section of the Kure Beach strand will not receive sand this cycle but, through "Mayor Oliver's efforts" the town secured extra sand for H Avenue to repair washout from last September's storm. He encouraged residents to attend a related public meeting at the Carolina Beach Town Hall Council Chambers on Feb. 3.
