Marsden moved and Getzlaff seconded approval of the consent agenda (which included Chamber special-event permits) and the motion carried. Chamber representative Kelly Beaver presented a local tourist guide booklet. Rick Gustafson, president of the Economic Development Corporation, informed council that the EDC director Whitney Gonitzke has been relieved of duties and that an audit is ongoing. The minutes record that interviews for the auditor position have begun. The Armory committee will meet to address insulation of the armory back wall after the fire hall was removed; officials noted heating costs have risen. Councilmember Mehlhoff said he will meet with County Commissioners to discuss dissolving the municipal judge position and possible county contract for court coverage.
