Council also received a single cement bid from Loon Lake Services (Jon Peterson) and voted to accept it. Separately, a single tree-removal bid tied to a potential tree grant was denied because the bidder was not a certified arborist as required in the solicitation; Fix moved to deny that bid and the council carried the motion.
The council approved a letter of support for Border Ag’s potential expansion project as requested. The minutes indicate these items were handled by motion and vote and do not include the full contract language or grant agreement terms; the vet grant was approved contingent on a contract being finalized.
Other routine items included appointment of Rachel Condit to the Pool Board after Pool Manager Janell Monson resigned, acceptance of the 2023 audit report, and personnel updates noting a new City Shop employee, Gavin Honsey.
