At the Jan. 13 Macclesfield meeting, Liz Raskopf of UCP Council of Governments reported that the housing selection committee met earlier in the day and voted to submit an amendment asking that funds earmarked for a third house be used instead to upgrade the town park.
Raskopf said the third home allocated under the housing program has been sold and therefore is no longer eligible for the program; the committee voted to seek authorization to use those funds for park improvements. The board received the committee report as informational; no formal vote on the amendment was recorded during the meeting.
Town staff or the committee will need to follow the program's amendment procedures to request reallocation of funds; Raskopf reported the committee's vote but did not provide details on the required paperwork or approvals during the meeting.
