City staff described the claim and the settlement terms: the contractor will pay a total of $8,000 to the city in installments and will allow up to six inspections per year for two years with reasonable notice. "This settlement agreement requires the following of hours paying. They'll pay the sum of 8,000 to the city of Lansing installments," Nate, city staff, said while summarizing the agreement.
Council moved and approved the settlement by voice vote. The agreement was recommended by legal counsel, and staff said the first installment has already been received.
The motion carried and staff recorded the settlement for the public record.
