Bismarck school board elects Dan Eastgate president, Peterson named vice president

The Bismarck Public Schools Board reorganized for the 2026'27 year at its July 13 meeting.
Board member Dan Eastgate was nominated and accepted the nomination for president; members seconded the nomination and the board voted to approve the appointment. "I will accept the nomination," Eastgate said before the roll-call vote.
Vice President Danelle Presky nominated Peterson for vice president; Peterson accepted the nomination. The board voted to elect her to the vice-presidency by voice/roll call.
The meeting included several routine, formal actions handled by motion and roll-call vote: adoption of the meeting agenda, approval of required statutory appointments and the consent agenda. Each motion was moved, seconded and approved as recorded on the roll-call votes during the session.
The board adjourned after completing the reorganization and regular business for the evening.
