Commission approves minutes, orders 24 rope‑and‑stake barriers and sets next meeting for Nov. 3

The Town of Jackson Conservation Commission conducted several routine procedural actions and administrative updates on Oct. 6.
Dick Bennett moved to approve the September 2025 meeting minutes; Mike Dufilio seconded and the motion carried with all in favor. Later in the meeting, Pam Smillie moved to order 24 metal stake‑and‑rope barriers (final cost to be determined); Jeff Hayes seconded and the commission approved the purchase unanimously.
Other business: members reported that VRAP testing on the Wildcat River has concluded for the season and that reports will be sent to the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services. The community garden water was shut off for the season. Jeff Hayes and Ben Halcyon expressed interest in attending the New Hampshire Association of Conservation Commissions annual meeting on Nov. 1; funds are available in the budget to reimburse attendance costs.
Brian seconded Mike Dufilio’s motion to adjourn; the meeting was closed. The commission scheduled its next meeting for Nov. 3, 2025 at 5:30 p.m.
