Councilmember requests special workshop on boardwalk grants, asks to delay PARTF resolution

Starling said the briefing should cover the status of grant applications and the town’s commitments for property acquisition and boardwalk design; he asked that the PARTF grant resolution on the council’s 6:00 p.m. agenda be postponed until that special meeting. Mayor Pro Tem Austin Waters said he favored advancing the PARTF application to build momentum for the project.
Town Manager John O'Daniel said he would like the special meeting to serve as a broader projects workshop covering pending grants and funding commitments. Councilmembers set no formal vote in the transcript; scheduling and final action on the PARTF resolution were left for follow-up.
