The Town of Atlantic Beach Council unanimously approved a consent agenda at its March 27 meeting that included finance and tax reports, a $16,000 contract for the FY2022-23 audit, a resolution committing local match for a proposed dredging project, disposal of surplus equipment, and ratification of a mayor-signed Offer to Purchase for land at 119 and 121 Atlantic Boulevard.
Councilmember Danny Navey moved to approve the consent agenda; Councilmember Joey Dean seconded. Mayor A. B. Cooper, III; Mayor Pro Tem Austin Waters; and Councilmembers Renea Baker, Dean, Navey and Joseph Starling voted yes, 5-0.
Items listed on the consent agenda included: finance report materials and budget amendments and transfers; tax collection and tax releases/refunds reports; an administrative notice to sell unused trash carts privately to AK Grading and Demolition; authorization of a $16,000 contract with Thompson, Price, Scott, Adams & Co., PA for the fiscal year 2022–23 audit; ratification of the Mayor’s signature on an Offer to Purchase dated Feb. 27, 2023 for property at 119 & 121 Atlantic Blvd; and Resolution 23-03-01, a resolution of commitment of funds related to a Water Resources Development Project grant (dredging).
Because these items were approved on the consent agenda, no separate roll-call votes on each line item were recorded in the minutes. The minutes for the meeting were later approved at the council’s April 24, 2023 meeting.
The council meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. and adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
