Tioga approves $1.23 million pay application as community center nears completion

The Tioga City Commission on June 16 approved Pay Application #11 for the Community Center Expansion project in the amount of $1,229,719.01.
David Sting of FCI told the commission the project "is 92% complete" and offered a proposed occupation date of Aug. 7. Burton Young presented the pay application for the commission’s consideration. Commissioner Kyle Ralston moved to approve Pay App #11; Commissioner Jaden Iverson seconded and the motion passed on a roll call vote recorded as Ayes: Ralston, Iverson.
The approval follows updates from Moore Engineering that a walk-through for the 3rd Street NW and N Hanson Street reconstruction is set for June 24 and that reseeding work remains. Commission President Brett Rieniets said staff is waiting on FEMA’s approval to begin homeowner outreach related to a CLOMR and to proceed with construction of a planned softball field.
The commission did not alter the project scope during the meeting; the pay application represents the latest contractor draw for ongoing work. The commission set no supervisory or follow-up conditions in the motion; staff and project engineers will proceed with the next contract steps and homeowner notices tied to FEMA correspondence.
The commission’s next regular meeting is scheduled for July 7, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Tioga City Hall.
