At its Oct. 13 briefing, the Thomasville City Council set items for the Oct. 20 meeting, including proclamations, consent items and a regular-agenda grant ordinance.
The minutes list three recognitions/presentations to be held Oct. 20: a proclamation for Domestic Violence Awareness Month to be presented by Mayor Pro Tem Lisa Shell; a proclamation for Cybersecurity Awareness Month to be presented by Council Member Doug Hunt (added at the briefing at Deputy City Manager Eddie Bowling’s request); and a special presentation by Mayor Raleigh York, Jr.
Council directed that the Oct. 20 Consent agenda include minutes from the Sept. 8 briefing and Sept. 15 council meeting; Budget Amendment 2026-P4-01; a Social Media Comment Policy; and a T‑Mobile Lease Agreement. On the Regular agenda the council placed consideration of a Grant Project Ordinance for the Great Trails State Program (GTSP) grant project.
Committee reports and appointments, the mayor’s report, the city manager’s report, the city attorney’s report and the deputy city manager’s report were scheduled to be given on Oct. 20. The briefing minutes record no additions or updates and show the council adjourned after the business concluded.
