The Village of Taos Ski Valley Tax Increment Development District Board re-elected Tom Wittman as board chair and approved routine items during its Jan. 19, 2026 meeting.
Board Member Frimm moved to elect Tom Wittman as board chair; Board Member J. Christopher Stagg seconded the motion, which passed on a 3-0 vote. Frimm also moved to approve the Oct. 20, 2025 meeting minutes and Resolution No. 2026-66 acknowledging and approving the second-quarter FY2026 DFA financial report (as of Dec. 31, 2025); Stagg seconded both motions and each passed 3-0.
Later in the meeting the board voted to take a 10-minute recess; the recording was paused and the meeting resumed with Board Member Turner and Mr. Chaz Rockey joining. After hearing updates, the board voted 4-0 to move into an executive (closed) session under the New Mexico Open Meetings Act exemptions for discussions related to real property or water rights and attorney-client privileged matters pertaining to threatened or pending litigation. The minutes state no decisions were made during the closed session.
The meeting concluded with a 4-0 vote to adjourn. The board announced the next scheduled meeting as April 20 at 4:00 p.m. via Zoom; the transcript lists the year as 2025, which appears to be a typographical error in the record.
