At its Aug. 19 meeting the Thomasville ABC Board approved payroll for the weeks ending Aug. 2 and Aug. 16, 2025, and accepted the July law-enforcement report while directing Store General Manager Leigh Ann Lowe to contact the state commission because required statistical data was missing from the submission.
Lowe reported July sales rose 2.12% compared with the statewide change of 1.47%, noting average weekly sales of $108,194 and average daily sales of $18,472 during the period; she also reported $54,616.83 in sales on July 3. The board’s cumulative balance sheet shows an increase in pension liability, but the cumulative income statement showed nominal sales and profit increases and no budget adjustments were required at this time.
The board received a detailed report from Fairgrove Family Resource Center describing its use of distributed drug- and alcohol-related funds and recorded that Thomasville City Schools presented a list of calendar-year expenses to date. Lowe said she is reviewing applications to fill an open part-time position so the store will be fully staffed before the holidays.
After completing the listed business, the chairman adjourned the meeting until Tuesday, Sept. 16 (Motion: Grimes; Second: Clinard).
