Council schedules hearings on winter parking changes and Clay Street one‑way plan

Separately, the Public Works Subcommittee recommended converting Clay Street to one‑way (Fair St to Bowman St) and prohibiting parking on the odd‑numbered side because the road is about 15 feet wide and considered unsafe for two‑way traffic with parking on both sides. The estimated cost for signage is $500, to be charged to the Public Works regulatory sign budget. Council scheduled a public hearing for April 6, 2026 to gather public input before any final action.
Both items were moved forward for public hearing rather than decided on at the Feb. 23 meeting.
