Select Board pauses on possible Industrial Park lot transfer pending deed research

Town staff told the Select Board a deed review suggests the town may have inadvertently retained a lot in the Industrial Park (Town Tax Map R01, Lot 15); the board requested more research before deciding whether to transfer the parcel to the resident who raised the question.
Town Manager Jessica Cyr told the Select Board that earlier inquiries from Allen Bouthillier prompted a review of deeds for the Industrial Park and indicated that Town Tax Map R01, Lot 15 (plan lot 10) may have been retained by the town inadvertently. Cyr said the town is investigating whether the lot should be transferred to Mr. Bouthillier.
Selectman Shane Beattie asked whether confusion in lot numbering could explain the issue and suggested that Lot 15 might have been meant to refer to a different parcel; Charity Baker noted the water-tank parcel was sold to Coos Economic Development in the early 2000s. The board took no action at the meeting and asked staff to do further research before making a decision.
