Town Manager Jessica Cyr returned to the Select Board’s Jan. 6 discussion on public camping and presented several approaches other communities use. Select Board member Leon Rideout said he favored starting with a minimal or 'bare bones' policy to see how it functions, and the board expressed support for a policy modeled on the Town of Jackson. Cyr was asked to proceed with drafting a policy along those lines.
The minutes record direction to staff to develop a draft policy but do not record any formal adoption or ordinance change; further consideration would appear on a future agenda if the board elects to act on the drafted policy.
