The Lancaster Select Board on Feb. 3 authorized Town Manager Jessica Cyr to sign renewal paperwork allowing Cathedral Ledge to serve alcohol at the Lancaster Farmers' Market. Selectman Shane Beattie moved the authorization and Selectman Kathy-Jean Lavoie seconded; the board voted in favor.
Town Manager Jessica Cyr also reported that updated ambulance contracts (covering Jefferson, Lunenburg and Guildhall) and a fire contract for Guildhall have been prepared; those intermunicipal agreements run from April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026, and include updated fee schedules. Selectman Lavoie asked that staff set a reminder to send an invoice well ahead of the Nov. 11, 2025 due date.
The board approved the Jan. 21, 2025 regular and non-public meeting minutes by motion of Selectman Lavoie, seconded by Selectman Rideout. Selectman Shane Beattie recused himself from both votes because he was not present at that earlier meeting; Rideout and Lavoie voted in favor on both motions.
There were no controversial votes recorded; several routine procedural motions (license authorization, minute approvals, adjournment) carried by unanimous consent or recorded aye votes.
