Select Board signs Grafton County dispatch agreement, reviews finances and hears fire-station progress

At its June 22 meeting the Town of Jefferson Select Board reviewed and initialed multiple financial documents and unpaid bills and signed a dispatch-services agreement with Grafton County.
Select Board Member Kevin Meehan moved to sign the Grafton County Agreement of Dispatch Services; Select Board Member Terri Larcomb seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board also reviewed the AVRRDD 2024 Auditor’s Report.
Chair Norman Brown provided an update on the town’s new fire station: footings were completed the week of June 15, front walls poured and additional concrete walls scheduled for pour the week of June 22, with backfilling and exterior drainage piping to follow; interior plumbing and floor drains will be installed next. Brown said an inspection of rebar and placement would occur before backfilling and that the projected completion date for the building is Dec. 20, 2026.
The board approved routine administrative items, including minutes and payroll and accounts-payable approvals, and adjourned the meeting at 7:55 p.m.
