The Jefferson Select Board met at 7:00 p.m. June 9 at the Jefferson Community Center and voted to enter a nonpublic session under RSA 91-A:3, II (b) to discuss hiring for a town position.
Selectboard Chair Norman Brown moved at 7:02 p.m. to go into nonpublic session for "the hiring of any person as a public employee," and Selectman Kevin Meehan seconded. The minutes record a roll-call in which Kevin Meehan, Terri Larcomb and Norman Brown were recorded as "Aye," and state the motion passed unanimously.
The board returned to public session at 8:09 p.m. after a motion by Brown and a second from Meehan, according to the minutes.
In public session the Select Board discussed next steps in the hiring process for the open Administrative Assistant position. Selectman Kevin Meehan moved to allow Linda Cushman and Amanda Simino to conduct second interviews with two applicants; Selectman Terri Larcomb seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
