Select Board Chair Norman Brown moved for the hire; Select Board Member Kevin Meehan seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board also agreed to offer Stevens $30 per hour as a starting wage, with the option of a raise following a six-month evaluation. Meehan had earlier proposed $25 per hour with a six-month review; the board adopted Brown’s $30/hour recommendation.
The board stated Stevens will need to give two weeks’ notice to her current employer before beginning in the town position. Brown moved to seal the non-public minutes that recorded the personnel deliberations; the motion to seal passed unanimously.
The board took these actions at the start of its June 22 meeting after convening briefly in non-public session under RSA 91-A:3 II(a) and II(b) to discuss hiring and personnel matters.
