Planning board hears update on Haywood County proposal for rotating electronic signs

At the April 15 meeting Chairman Bill Sebastyn reported an update from the Haywood County Planning Board. Sebastyn said a guest speaker had petitioned county commissioners to amend the county sign ordinance to allow rotating electronic signs along travel corridors. Sebastyn noted that if such properties later are used for residential purposes the county change could affect Maggie Valley.
No formal action or vote on a town ordinance was taken; the item was recorded as an informational update to the board.
