Beaverdam board gets Shaw Hill Bridge update; ditches, roads and code revision work discussed

Road and maintenance reports included that Zimmerman Drive ditch work by contractor R.C. Koch is complete and that town maintenance crews will apply grass seed and straw. Kartechner Bros. will provide a preliminary bid for gravel work related to Schoenfeld's Woodland Plat, and Joe Kern said he is working to obtain a surveyor to prepare a legal description for property on McKinley Beach Road. A resident request for permanent speed bumps on McKinley Beach Road and National Drive was noted in correspondence; the board did not act on that request at this meeting.
The Road Maintenance Department reported a quote from Garage Door Specialists for new Town Hall garage doors; the board will obtain additional quotes before making a decision. Board member Dave Raue had gathered information about a replacement mower but was not present to discuss it; the board will follow up when quotes and details are available.
The town attorney said a draft revision to Chapter 10 of the town code is complete and will be reviewed by peers prior to further board consideration. The attorney was identified in the minutes only by title; no personal name was recorded.
