City Administrator Shawn Wenko told commissioners the licensing committee had reviewed the application and that the license was awaiting a few department-head signatures. "I just ask if you do pass it, it be contingent on final signatures," Wenko said during the public hearing.
President Klug opened the public hearing and asked three times if anyone wished to comment; hearing none, he closed the hearing. Commissioner Bervig moved to approve the license; the motion, seconded by Commissioner Gjovig, passed 5-0 (Bekkedahl, Siemieniewski, Bervig, Gjovig, Klug voting aye).
The approval is recorded as contingent on the remaining department signatures, per the administrator’s request. No public opposition or staff objections were recorded at the meeting.
The next procedural step is administrative: city staff will finalize departmental signoffs before issuing the license.
