Board offers district clerk contract, approves teacher master agreement, coaching hires and housing lease

At its Jan. 26 meeting, the Lambert School Districts #86 & #4 Board of Trustees approved several personnel and contract items including a new District Clerk offer, teacher contract approval, coaching hires and a housing recommendation.
The board voted to offer Rebecca Miller a District Clerk/Business Manager employment contract for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 with an annual wage of $55,000 for a full-time (2,080-hour) appointment, 40 hours of personal leave and 40 hours of bereavement leave, and a district contribution toward health insurance up to $1,235.75 per month. Trustees also approved a temporary work agreement to provide training through June 30, 2026 at $22.00 per hour for up to 20 hours per week; training may not begin until both agreements are signed.
The board unanimously approved the 2026–2028 Certified Master Agreement for certified staff contingent on verifying that the base-salary cell on the salary schedule reflects the appropriate Quality Educator Payment amounts. Trustees discussed communicating the verification and rationale in the district’s third-quarter newsletter when appropriate.
Trustees approved athletic coaching contracts, including a 2025–26 Sports Coop Contract offer to Mackenzie Rask for elementary girls basketball and 2026–27 co-op positions to Bryan Prevost (head junior-high football coach) and Austin Lien (assistant junior-high football coach); a previously offered position to Jason Klempel was declined.
The board also approved offering a lease/rental agreement for 4-plex Apartment #6 to Laura Lund based on the Housing Committee recommendation. On the consent agenda, the board approved minutes from previous meetings, payroll and claim warrants, December extracurricular balances and January joint sports coop expenses.
Several of these motions passed by unanimous voice vote of trustees Lacey Mullin, Sara Huft, Tara Hill, Cheyanne Rauschendorfer and Rodney Evenson. Superintendent Kara Triplett will follow up on verification items and communications to the community.
