During the Superintendent/AD report at the March 23 meeting, Superintendent Kara Triplett described a proposed career and technical education (CTE) pathway with Sidney Health Center. The program would allow students interested in health-field careers to engage in internships at Sidney Health Center to gain practical experience and explore postsecondary pathways.
Triplett framed the proposal as an opportunity for students to pursue hands-on experiences in health careers; the board received the proposal and directed administration to continue planning steps. No formal vote to enter a contractual agreement with Sidney Health Center was recorded in the meeting minutes; trustees received the proposal as part of the written Superintendent/AD report and discussion.
Administration will continue to develop program details, including internship structure, student eligibility and any required agreements with Sidney Health Center, and will report back to the board for action if a formal partnership agreement is proposed.
