Lambert board accepts $229,000 parking-lot bid; flooring vendor chosen pending committee review

For the parking-lot work the district received two sealed bids: Top Gun Asphalt submitted a bid of $229,000 and Hardrives Construction Inc. submitted $244,420. Rodney Evenson moved to accept Top Gun Asphalt's $229,000 bid; the motion passed unanimously.
For flooring, the district opened three sealed submissions: Top Gun Floorz ($67,319) and two Creation Carpets bids ($111,653.85 and $129,695.85) that differed by flooring type. The board moved to accept one of the Creation Carpets bids but did not select a specific product; instead the trustees formed a committee to inspect flooring samples and recommend which Creation Carpets option to use. The motion passed unanimously. The board directed the committee to report back with a recommendation before final contracting.
Next steps include finalizing a contract with Top Gun Asphalt and convening the flooring-review committee to choose among Creation Carpets options and authorize the specific purchase once the committee reports.
