Lambert trustees approve multiple 2026–27 certified and classified contracts and accept resignations
Summary
The board accepted two teacher resignations, approved certified contract offers and elementary assignments, approved classified contracts with a 3% hourly wage increase, and authorized a head elementary girls' basketball coaching contract for 2026–27.
At its April 28 meeting, the trustees of Lambert School Districts #86 & #4 accepted resignations, offered several 2026–27 teaching contracts and approved classified staff contracts and wage changes.
Trustee Sara Huft moved to accept Larry Sommerfeld’s resignation from the K–12 PE/Health position and Jessica Spinner’s resignation from the fifth-grade teaching position; Trustee Cheyanne Rauschendorfer seconded the motion and all present voted Aye. The board directed that both positions be opened and advertised immediately.
The board voted to offer full-time 2026–27 elementary teaching contracts to Val Frisbie and Kim Irigoin. Trustees also recorded proposed elementary assignments for 2026–27: Rhea Christensen (Kindergarten); Kristi Janssen (1st grade); Melissa Shiffer (2nd grade); Raean Lien (3rd grade); Kim Irigoin (4th grade); Valerie Frisbie (5th grade, 6/8 time, plus Elementary Music 2/8 time); and Sheri Pust (6th 5/8 time; 5th 2/8 time; 7th/8th Grade Music 1/8 time).
On classified staffing, Trustee Cheyanne Rauschendorfer moved to offer 2026–27 contracts to Gordon Anderson (Head Custodian), Jodi Carda (PreK para), Leanne Evenson (Head Cook), Maria Kirby (part-time custodian), Shawn Lien (Head Maintenance), Amelia Pust (full-time para), Suzzanne Torgerson (District Secretary) and Jacalyn Wright (Asst Cook/Para). The motion included a 3% hourly wage increase for the listed classified employees; district contributions to insurance were to remain at 2025–26 levels. The motion passed unanimously.
Separately, the board approved offering Mackenzie Rask a 2026–27 Sports Coop Contract as Head Elementary Girls’ Basketball coach.
All formal personnel motions during the meeting were recorded as unanimous among the three trustees present (Mullin, Huft and Rauschendorfer).
