Staff said average actual cost is likely to be 10–20% lower depending on closures and staffing and that PMI’s contract includes cleaning, opening/closing, training, certified lifeguards and community lessons. Staff also reported reference checks were favorable and noted PMI’s app would provide transparent operational data to town staff.
Commissioners asked about prior contract costs and revenue. Staff cited the 2024 audited pool admissions at roughly $39,000 and season pass income of about $3,500; commissioners discussed how revenue compares with the proposed contract costs and noted the contract is for three years at annual billing.
A motion to award the contract to PMI at the recommended terms passed (vote recorded as four in favor; Commissioner Sweeney was absent). Staff will finalize the three‑year agreement and return any required signature documents to the board.
