The San Bernardino City Unified School District Board of Education approved a series of personnel actions reported from closed session.
The board voted to approve the appointment of Cassandra Williams as principal of Lytle Creek Elementary School. Trustees moved and seconded the appointment and the board announced the appointment with an effective date, work year and salary to be determined.
The board also approved multiple vice-principal appointments: Alexandra Chapin, Sarah Espinosa Morgan, Kimberly Nieblas and Gail Williams for elementary schools; Gloria Martinez and William Pomfret for middle schools; and Yaira (Diera) Durham as high school assistant principal at Arroyo Valley High School. Each appointee briefly addressed the board and expressed gratitude.
Votes and procedure: Each appointment was moved, seconded and carried by the board as reported in open session. The board stated salaries, work years and effective dates are to be determined and will be processed through standard HR channels.
