San Bernardino school board adopts 2026-27 classified and 2027-29 traditional calendars

The district calendar committee recommended calendars that largely mirror the current school year with one change: beginning in 2027-28, middle school sites will add a minimum of two days at the end of the first semester to align with the high school calendar. Trustees asked about earlier start dates and cooling concerns. Operations staff said generators are permanent at two routinely impacted sites and that the district is looking at expanding generator coverage to additional campuses.
After discussion the trustees moved and adopted the recommended traditional calendars by roll-call vote.
