The Village of Bonduel Committee of the Whole voted unanimously on March 25 to recommend that the Village Board raise all inspection and permit fees by $50 and add a new permit for home remodeling projects costing more than $1,000. The recommendation, moved by Tim Kelley and seconded by Kay Zuleger, asks the Board to approve the $50 increase for all inspection and permit fees and to adopt a new home‑remodel permit with some exclusions for lower‑cost work. Jesse Rankin, director of municipal operations, joined Hahn in urging clearer reporting so the Village can ensure work meets code and safety standards.
The Committee’s motion carried unanimously. The measure will be forwarded to the Village Board for consideration; the minutes do not specify the date of the Board review or the proposed effective date if approved.
