Weiser Ambulance District presents 2027 budget packet; Board approves payroll and expense orders

The Board recessed as the Board of the Weiser Ambulance District on July 6 to review payroll and general expense orders and to hear a 2027 budget packet presented by Ambulance District Director Alan Foster and Administrative Assistant Claudia Licht.
The board reviewed and approved Order No. 26-37 for payroll expenses in the amount of $22,508.76, Order No. 26-38 for payroll expenses in the amount of $24,196.35, and Order No. 26-39 for general expenses in the amount of $16,340.48. The June credit card statement for the district was also presented for review. The motions to approve each order were carried by the commissioners.
Foster presented packet materials including profit-and-loss comparisons, staffing and call‑volume documentation, suggested staffing levels and compensation, and fee income discussion. The Board discussed whether to place a levy‑override question on the November ballot and discussed logistics for placing gravel in front of the Ambulance Hall; Commissioner Nate Marvin said he would contact Road and Bridge Supervisor Jerod Odoms about placing the gravel.
What’s next: The Ambulance District will continue budget work for 2027 and consider whether to pursue a levy override; the commissioners will follow up on the gravel request with Road and Bridge.
