Council to draft letter opposing landfill expansion affecting Village Lane, council members say

The council did not have a public hearing date for the landfill expansion; one member said the hearing was "coming soon" but gave no date. The council directed staff to draft proposed language for a letter expressing the town's concerns and opposition and indicated the letter could be sent to county supervisors ahead of the public hearing.
Next steps: staff will prepare a draft letter for council review; no formal vote was taken during the meeting.
