Worth County supervisors approve amended annexation schedule for Drainage District No. 10

Enos Loberg, chairperson of the Board of Supervisors of Worth County, called a meeting at 10:00 A.M. CST on April 6, 2026, at the Worth County courthouse to continue the annexation process for Drainage District No. 10.

Jacob Hagan, an engineer with AgriVia, told the supervisors that the meeting was a continuation of the district's annexation proceedings and that one outstanding question remained regarding a parcel owned by Ronald and Marion Helgeson. Hagan said the Helgesons brought in a tile map for his review and explained how he believes water flows across that parcel. He recommended that the Helgeson parcel and a parcel previously discussed belonging to Dave Djuren be removed from the annexation schedule and said he would file an amendment to drop both parcels. "We are there for a continuation of annexation for DD 10," Hagan said at the start of his remarks.

After Hagan's review and with no further public comment, Supervisor Mark Smeby moved and A.J. Stone seconded to close the public hearing; the motion carried. The board then considered the annexation schedule with the engineer's proposed amendments. Smeby moved and Stone seconded approval of the amended annexation schedule; a roll call vote recorded Smeby Yea, Stone Yea and Loberg Yea, and the amended schedule was approved.

Earlier in the meeting the board approved the day's agenda by motion. The meeting concluded with a motion by Smeby, seconded by Stone, to adjourn at 10:04 a.m.
