Clifton council approves minutes and several Planning Commission-recommended use permits, 6-0

At its Oct. 4 meeting, the Clifton Town Council approved several administrative and land-use items recommended by the Planning Commission.
Mayor Bill Hollaway moved and Councilmember Steve Effros seconded approval of the Aug. 29 and Sept. 6 meeting minutes; council approved that motion by poll, 6-0. The council then approved three Planning Commission recommendations by poll, 6-0: expansion of an existing use permit at 7137B Main Street to add Rios Partners (no increase in personnel or client visits and existing allocation of three parking spaces to remain); a Use Permit for Clifton Contracting LLC for a 154-square-foot commercial office at 12642 Chapel Road with the condition that no construction or work vehicles be parked on the premises; and a change in ownership of the Main Street Pub from McNamara Enterprises to McNamara Hollowell LLC, with all terms and conditions of the existing special-use permit remaining in effect.
Each motion was introduced by Mayor Hollaway and seconded (motions for the use-permit items were seconded by Councilmember Darrell Poe or Councilmember Steve Effros as noted in the minutes) and approved by a 6-0 poll vote. No amendments to the permits were recorded in the minutes. Council took no additional action on these items at the meeting.
