Plan Commission recommends reversing 2022 rezoning for 732 16th Ave to TR10

The Monroe Plan Commission unanimously recommended that the City Council approve a zoning change at 732 16th Avenue to revert the property from a neighborhood mixed district back to TR10 two-family zoning.
Planner Sonia said the 2022 rezoning to a neighborhood mixed district had been requested to allow ground-floor commercial uses (office space and a bookstore) but the applicant has decided not to pursue those plans and wants residential on the ground floor instead. "The staff recommendation is for approval of that request with no concerns," Sonia said.
A commissioner moved to recommend approval, another seconded, and the roll call vote was unanimous. The recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for final action at its next meeting.
