The Marinette Board of Public Works voted unanimously on May 5, 2026 to recommend that the Common Council approve two Department of Public Works equipment purchases. The Board recommended approval of a Versalift VST-47 mounted on a 2017 Ford F-550 for $72,000 and a 2026 Bobcat for $70,672.19.
Mayor Genisot moved the recommendation, Alderperson Karban seconded, and those present "all concurred." The minutes state the Bobcat purchase will utilize funds previously budgeted and approved for the purchase of a 1.5-ton truck.
Both recommendations were recorded as recommendations to the Common Council rather than final contract awards by the Board. No additional financing details beyond the amounts and the note about reallocated budgeted funds for the Bobcat were provided in the minutes.
The Board adjourned at 4:50 p.m.; the next regular Board meeting is scheduled for May 19, 2026.
