The Business Administrator noted that the purchase was competitively advantageous because the vehicle was not available on a New Jersey state contract and that HGAC prices provided an estimated savings compared with the expense and time required to issue a new municipal bid.
The memo accompanying the resolution said administrative steps to use the HGAC cooperative had been completed, including publication of a legal notice of intent and collection of required vendor compliance documents, and that the Chief Financial Officer certified sufficient funds were available. Officials said final ordering and delivery timelines will be coordinated by MEMS and the Finance office.
