Blakely council accepts treasurer's report and approves $166,818.45 in general payables

Blakely Borough Council on Jan. 20 approved routine bills and accepted finance reports, recording payables of $166,818.45 for general accounts and $56,092.19 for the electric fund.
Borough Secretary Christopher R. Paone read the bills and the finance committee recommended approval. Council member Joseph Munley moved to accept the bills and was seconded by Kyle Burak; the motion passed with all ayes. Mr. Paone also read the treasurer's report; the council accepted the report on a motion by Edward J. Alco Jr., seconded by Joseph Munley; all ayes.
The Mine Cave Commission report for December 2024 was read by Mr. Paone; the commission reported that all mine openings and voids were secure as of Jan. 20, 2025, and council accepted the report.
