Residents press borough on private sewer takeover, request tree restoration after trimming

Alexander Piela of 169 Seventh Street asked the borough to accept a sanitary sewer line behind several lots that he said was installed by Lemoncelli Construction in collaboration with the borough. According to the minutes, Mr. Piela said prior council discussion required his camera to be "in the line" before the borough would consider taking the line over. Borough Secretary Christopher R. Paone told Mr. Piela at the meeting that he would not accept the line at that time; Council President Louis R. Parri said the council would need to discuss the issue further and get back to him.
Albert and Kim Baldoni of 25 Blythe Drive distributed photos and letters to council members and read a letter asking the borough to restore trees that were trimmed near their property; Mr. Parri said the council would discuss the matter before deciding. The minutes record no formal council action or vote on the sewer or tree-restoration requests.
What happened next: the council adjourned after the public-comment period. There were no formal decisions recorded on either the sewer turnover request or the Baldonis' restoration request; both items were left for further discussion.
