The Town of Marlborough’s Board of Selectmen on July 7 voted to close contract negotiations for the Town Manager with no changes.
Chair Susan McFarland moved to "close negotiations with no change," Selectman Louise Concodello seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Town Manager David Porter reported personnel updates: Charlie Grossmann started work the previous day as Public Works Crew Leader and said he was glad to join the team, and Tony Genovese officially started as Finance Director. Porter said the Public Works Foreman position remains open because negotiations with a candidate were not concluded.
The board noted an annual performance evaluation for the Town Manager was completed, per Selectman McFarland. Selectmen did not take further action on the open foreman vacancy during the meeting.
Next steps: Porter will continue negotiations for the Public Works Foreman position and bring updates to the board when available.
