Clifton council approves up to $3,300 for stormwater scoping to advance Streetscape design

Geri Yantis and other Streetscape Committee members briefed the council on the committee’s receipt of a proposal from J2 Engineers covering services through construction. The committee noted that VDOT will repair a collapsed portion of the stormwater system under Main Street in the spring, and that opening the section temporarily would permit scoping to proceed sooner. Mr. Yantis recommended the expenditure for scoping work. Mayor Bill Hollaway moved to approve the up-to-$3,300 expenditure and Vice Mayor Regan McDonald seconded; the motion passed by roll-call with all members voting aye.
